Project RIZZAIL Update 6/23/11

The sand rail is really starting to come together. Got the engine in and the remote oil filter and oil cooler mounted.
Coil is mounted, as well as , fan housing
and generator.
     Have the electrical to get changed
out to all new wiring and mounted and fuel tank and gauges, and brake system
finished plummed and pedals mounted.... Than Vroom vroom LOL

Project RIZZAIL Update 6/18/11

     We are really making some progress and starting to really see how things are coming together. The engine, Transaxel, axels, engine fan housing, coil and mount, intake runners, valve covers, are ALL in paint ! Used medium temp on some of the tins and high temp on the transaxel. Really starting to get a visual on what the finished product will look like.

Project RIZZAIL Update 6/16/11

     So we now have the entire chassis of the sand rail , and front end in paint. The seats are mounted and the front end is re-installed. Test fitting the short throw shifter and turning brake.

     It is really coming together, and we are getting excited to get this out on the dunes or in the desert.

Also have the oil cooler ends and the JAMMAR Turing brake levers in paint.

Project RIZZAIL Update 6/9/11

     We have all the main frame in paint !!! Went with a satin finish Black spray on bedliner, May possibly still do the top half in red, But will be doing all the accessories in a nice red.

     Love the way it is looking and starting to come together, Getting pretty excited to see the final product.

Project RIZZAIL Update 6/7/11

     Seat mounts are done ! So is shifter box !

     As you can (hopefully) see the seat mounts are very low profile, and the design we used actually allowed us to lover the seat height.

     Also have the oil cooler mounting brackets done ! Getting very close to paint and reassembly. We are getting pretty excited !

Project RIZZAIL Update 6/4/11

     Got the rear swing all sprayed, as well as the front and all lower bars. We are using a spray on satin finish black that should compliment the gloss black we will be doing on the rest.
     Also got the remote oil filter mount fabbed and tacked in place (top left of picture).

Project RIZZAIL Update 6/3/11

Got the new seat mounting brackets all tacked in. The old ones sat to high and were made from thinwall square tubing, These ones sit lower and are less of an obstacle under the sand rail.

Got the positioning of the short throw shifter and the jammer turning brakes set also.
